Preferences

In order to create a Preference for FedEx Freight v2 in the Multi-carrier application please obtain the credentials below directly from the carrier. This information is obtainable from your carrier account manager or your internal logistics team.

Your FedEx Freight LTL account number is either a SHIP-TO or BILL-TO type of account. If it is a SHIP-TO account then you can create shipments and get rates with it without billing to a third party. If it is a BILL-TO account then whenever you are getting a rate request or a creating a shipment you need to set the billing section to be third party, and fill in the BILLING address related to that BILL-TO FedEx Freight LTL account as you can see below:

Please make sure that the country you set is the two digit country code. e.g US or CA, otherwise the FedEx system will not allow the ship / rate to go through.

How to Test

If you don't have your live credentials available during implementation phase, Zenkraft can provide test credentials. Click on the Use Test Account toggle and select the Test Account Country from the dropdown.

Activate your FedEx Freight credentials

FedEx Freight requires you to activate the credentials.

  1. Create a shipment in a demo/sandbox environment.
  2. Send this shipment to FedEx to evaluate.
  3. FedEx will approve your shipment and activate your credentials in production.
